Replace mugen.exe with the one from this file and see if the situation improves.  It uses an alternate renderer and generates some logs.

Please post a reply with:
1. Whether the new exe helped or not.
2. Whether your problem was (a) a crash, or (b) the video being very very slow.
3. If the problem didn't get solved, a paste of the contents of mugen.log after the program has exited.

And the in-game debug is still broken. When I press ctrl+d, it says my FPS is always 0.0

Edit: looking at some of the logs I'm getting, it seems that I'm getting anywhere from 20-43 fps. Some stages make me lag more than others.

2. a.) Same problem as before -> crashes at startup.
    b.) With my replaced 'SDL.dll' solution it worked but still very slow.. kinda even slower than the old .exe

1. Yes it helped. Previously I wouldn't able to run it at 1280x720 (I won't using that res but still it's helped). It was worked only at 640x480. Now I can run it at both resolutions.

2. Video is not 100% fast at 1280x720 but I suppose it's may be my cpu fault. I have problem with running HD movies aswell, because of it.

ok. I found something weird. since I believe it has to do with this crash, i'm posting here.

for the sake of proper info, I've done as Tangiz and replaced the "sdl.dll" file. I've also set mugen.cfg to run on 640X480, using the original screenpack.


sometimes, when the program crashes and i click the window, a second process appears on the task manager, although it does not appear on the task bar.

2. Mugen runs smoothly at 1280x720 now, at least until my character's dynamic sparks appear. (I use a lot of helpers, transparency, and rotation effects.)
Using old sdl.dll, rendermode opengl.

Edit: Is mugen skipping frames now?

now slow down are a bit less using rendermode = system in full screen but not much has changed for me since my last feedback, using the old sdl.dll btw.
